Causality Study Fortnight
نویسنده
چکیده
We address the issue of causation in demography, focusing. particularly onchange through time in aggregate demographic phenomena. We regard the interventionframework associated with the Neyman-Rubin-Holland model of causal estimation as toorarely applicable to be useful as a general solution to causal inference in demography.Discussion centres on a series of examples of demographic change ranging frommechanical demographic processes, where causation is known to occur, through torelatively straightforward cases where causation is not, or only rarely, contested to morecomplex demographic phenomena. We develop and propose ten criteria, or guidelines, intended to assist in the practical evaluation of causation in the context of demographicchange, analogous to those in use in epidemiology. Comparison of standard lactation curve models using fortnightly milk records in Frieswal cattle
Aim: The aim was to compare standard lactation curve models using fortnightly milk records in Frieswal cattle. Materials and Methods: A total of 2904 fortnightly milk yield (FMY) records from 132 Frieswal cattle maintained at Military Farm, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh were taken for study. The Wood (WD), Morant and Gnanasakthy (MG), Mitscherlich x Exponential (ME), and Wilmink (WK) models were fitt...
متن کاملChanges in Maternal Blood Glucose and Plasma Non-Esterified Fatty Acid during Pregnancy and around Parturition in Twin and Single Fetus Bearing Crossbred Goats
The effects of fetal number (single or twin) on blood glucose and plasma NEFA during pregnancy and around parturition were studied on ten Alpine × Beetal crossbred goats in their first to third lactation. The animals were divided in-groups 1(carrying single fetus, n=4) and 2(twin fetus, n=6). The samples were drawn on day1 after estrus and then at 14 days interval (fortnight) for 10 fortnights....
متن کاملThe Impact of Human Capital on FDI with New Evidence from Bootstrap Panel Granger Causality Analysis
T his study evaluates the causality relationship between human capital and foreign direct investment inflow in twenty-six OIC (the Organization of Islamic Cooperation) countries over the period 1970–2014. We employed the panel Granger non-causality testing approach of Kònya (2006) that is based on seemingly unrelated regression (SUR) systems, and Wald tests with country specific boot...
متن کاملSeed dormancy and seedling vigour as influenced by planting time environment and date of harvest in rice (Oryza sativa L.)
Seed dormancy is a genetically inherited trait whose intensity is modified by the environment during seed development and maturation. In order to study the effect of harvest time on the seed quality and optimum time of sowing to obtain good quality seeds, freshly threshed seeds of ten diverse rice genotypes harvested from six environments were evaluated for seed dormancy and seedling vigour ind...
متن کاملMulla Sadra and Hume on Comparative Analyzing of Causality
One of the most important causes for comparative studying on philosophical systems is to find their commonalities for responding common questions and to emphasize on their differences for taking functional answers encountering modern philosophical challenges and problems. Here, causality is chosen as the case study. Causality is of the basic philosophical issues that have been continually consi...
